Liz Vassey was born on August 9 in Raleigh, North Carolina and was raised in Tampa, Florida. She began acting at the age of nine when she was cast as Oliver in the musical of the same name. In the next seven years Liz studied acting, singing, and dancing at such places as University of South Florida, and appeared in over fifty theatrical productions in regional theaters all over the state. At the age of sixteen, she graduated a year early from high school, was then cast on "All My Children", and quickly moved to New York. There, in her spare time, she continued studying, she fell in love with the city and even sang at piano bars that she was too young to have been in in the first place.Liz was most recently seen as Tommy Lee Jones' partner in the movie "Man of the House". She was also on the second season of the short lived FOX drama "Tru Calling". She is probably best known for playing the female superhero, Captain Liberty, on "The Tick".When she has time off, Liz helps take care of her half of the t-shirt company, Neuroses to A T, that she started with her friend Kristin Bauer, who is also an actress.Liz and her husband, David Emmerichs, cohabitate happily with their combined brood of way too many pets.
