Katherine Barrese gave birth to her daughter, actress Alexandra "Sasha" Barrese, on April 24, 1981 in Maui, Hawaii. Katherine was almost 16 years old and was working as a model at the time. Soon after, the two moved to Paris, France, where they lived for 4 years. Young Katherine would continue her career as a French model, and she would often bring little Sasha to work with her. Both of them learned to speak fluent French.A few years later, Katherine and little Sasha moved to California, where they both began their acting careers in the same movie, 1989's "Homer & Eddie". Katherine plays the pizza restaurant waitress that Eddie stiffs with a stolen credit card. Sasha, then 8 years old, plays the small 4 year old girl in the purple jacket at the parade. Both Katherine and Sasha went on to star in 1990's "Jezebel's Kiss", where Katherine (then 24) plays lead character Jezebel, and Sasha (age 9) plays young Jezebel. Sasha was credited by her real name, Alexandra, in this film. Katherine went on to do one more movie in 1995 called "Payback", where she played a woman in prison. She and Sasha and currently live together in Beverly Hills, California.
