- Graduated From Booker T. Washington High school in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1982.
- Father is a lawyer.
- During the mid-80s, she and Shelley Fabares teamed up in a "Murder She Wrote"-style pilot for a television series. They were cast as housewives who solved mysteries.
- She has a degree in English from Stanford University.
- Langenkamp's voice appears twice in the song "Are You Ready For Freddy" by The Fat Boys, which plays at the end of A Nightmare On Elm Street 4: Dream Master.
- It took her 7 years to earn her English degree from Stanford because she was working at the same time.
- Charlie Sheen was the best man at her wedding to Anderson, Sheen's friend from high school.
- Is a member of the PTA, and leads a local beach-cleanup effort.
