- While at Whittier College, spent a semester in Denmark. Graduated from Whittier College.
- Has many fond memories of the days she played Kimmy Gibbler on the sitcom "Full House" (1987/I), however there was one problem: wardrobe. "Once in a while the costume people would say, 'Hey, kids, take home whatever you want'," recalls Barber, who would usually just take home a pair of pants, while the other castmates would grab armloads of clothes.
- After their September 2002 wedding, she and her husband moved to England to attend graduate school at the University of York.
- She and husband Jeremy had their first baby on April 30, 2004, his name is Tate James. He weighed 6 lbs, 7 oz and was 20 inches long.
- Worked, in 2000, as assistant to the director of Whittier College's Office of International Programs.
