- First discovered nationally as a junior singer finalist on Ed McMahon's "Star Search."
- At age five she became a five-time junior vocalist champion on Star Search and was the youngest singer ever to appear on the show
- Started her own band called The Raz. Alisan still acts, but is mostly focusing on her band.
- At age 13, she moved with her family to Westport, Connecticut. There, she was a member of the Staples Players, a high school theater group.
- At age 18, she moved to New York City to audition for Broadway. Within three months she was cast as Urleen in the musical production of 'Footloose'.
- Provides introduction & feature-length commentary on Curly Sue DVD.
- Has been cast as Bebe Benzenheimer in the Broadway revival of A Chorus Line. Coincidentally, her mother played the same role in the first national tour of the show.
