The "Eva" part of her name comes from a comic strip when a friend said she was similar to the comic strip character Eva Kant. "Robin's" was decided upon during a vacation as a friend was reading a Harold Robbin's book.
Lends much of her spare time to the Italian Miss Alternative show, which is an annual Aids benefit in her hometown of Bologna.
One of the few transexuals who made the transition into legitimate acting.
She's not exactly a transsexual but suffers from a relatively rare syndrome: in spite of being genetically a male and looking like a normal boy during childhood, after reaching puberty, she naturally developed female secondary sexual characters instead of male.
